About Kelly
Hi, I'm Kelly Harris, a Clinical Psychologist working in rural Victoria. I have a varied working history, that has led me to my ultimate career in Psychology. I started my professional working life as a Clerk of Courts at Ringwood Magistrates' Court before embarking upon a 13 year career as a Secondary School Teacher at Yea High School. With a strong interest in student welfare and also a passion for working with people, a career in Psychology seemed like a natural progression.
I completed my Doctorate in Psychology (Clinical Psychology) at Monash University in 2018 and since then I have worked in both private practice and public mental health. I also have previous experience delivering mental health services in both Primary and Secondary School settings as well as Inpatient Care and Neurorehabilitation. I have a special interest in Aged Mental Health (clients aged 65+ years), having previously worked as part of the Aged Psychiatric Assessment and Treatment Team (APATT) at Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Service. I also particularly enjoy working with students at the end of their secondary school career (Year 12) or commencement of university. I find this is where my experience as a previous Year 12 Coordinator is invaluable! Therefore, I currently work with clients aged 17 years or above. EXPERIENCE
I have experience and interest in providing support and treatment in the following areas:
