What days and times do you work?
Kelly is regularly in the clinic on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9.00am to 3.00pm. Appointment times vary but begin at 9.30am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 9.00am on Thursdays.
Do I have to have a referral to see you?
You do not have to have a referral to see Kelly at the practice unless you would like to claim rebates through Medicare. To be able to do this you will need a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral that must be arranged by either your GP, psychiatrist or pediatrician. Clients that wish to claim rebates via a Private Health Insurance Fund do not require referrals. Clients without a MHTP or eligible Private Health Insurance Fund are charged the full fee for the session. See the Fees and Rebates section for further details.
GPs, psychiatrists, pediatricians or clients can fax through referrals to 03 5835 6666. Alternatively, clients can bring a copy of the referral to the first session.
How can I book an appointment?
Current clients can book an appointment at the end of their session, via the booking online button found on the Contact page, emailing or calling the mobile number. New clients can request an appointment via sending an email or by calling the mobile number. Kelly will respond to correspondence as soon as possible however this may take up to 2 to 3 business days. PLEASE NOTE: KELLY IS CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW REFERRALS.
How is my information stored and is it confidential?
Your information is stored in a secure filing cabinet and/or an electronic practice management system which is accessible to only authorised employees. Clients’ personal information will remain confidential except when:
1. It is subpoenaed by a court, or disclosure is otherwise required or authorised by law; or
2. Failure to disclose the information would in the reasonable belief of your psychologist,
place you or another person at serious risk to life, health or safety; or
3. Your prior approval has been obtained to share the information.
Note that any information you provide through any contact with this service, such as by phone, email or the Contact form, is also bound by the limits of confidentiality described above.

Can I contact you in an emergency or crisis situation?
Kelly does not have capacity to provide emergency or crisis management services. If you are experiencing a crisis or emergency, you are advised to dial 000 or present to the emergency department of your nearest hospital. Alternatively you may consider making contact with one of the services mentioned on the Resources page, such as Lifeline (13 11 14).
Contact with Kelly is limited to business days (Tuesday to Thursday) and hours (9.00am-3.00pm) and it may also take up to 3 to 5 business days before Kelly checks her emails or messages in order to respond. Kelly generally returns calls/inquiries only on those days when she is in the office.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment provides an opportunity for Kelly to get to know you and also you her. It allows you to determine if you feel comfortable and if Kelly's style is a good fit for your needs. It allows Kelly to determine if she may be able to provide services the that best suit you. During the first session Kelly will discuss confidentiality, consent and your reasons for coming to session. She may also ask you to complete some brief assessment tools to provide some baseline data. These assessments may be emailed to you prior to your first session.
The initial session allows Kelly the opportunity to complete an assessment interview. Often the assessment will take more than the first session but generally by the end of the first session, both you and Kelly should have a good idea about if you should proceed with further sessions. Information gathered during the first session includes background information about the current problem and symptoms, your overall history and maybe even your goals. After the first initial assessment session/s, Kelly will provide recommendations regarding treatment options and work with you to establish your goals.
